Originally formed in 1980, Interstate Electronic Systems (IES) has served the audio-visual, data and security needs of the New Orleans Metropolitan
area and the State of Louisiana. After overseeing the operation of two systems integration firms, the principles (Mike Rideau, Ray Rideau and Lloyd
Francioni) took over the company in order to provide a more hands-on, local ownership to better serve their client base, which includes
universities, chemical refineries, homeland security interests, executive offices and local education facilities.
IES derives its business from two principal categories: bid projects and "design-build" projects. They respond to all bids issued, no matter the
level. The staff has completed major bid projects for federal, state and local governments in both Louisiana and across the nation, as well as
winning bid projects for privately-held organizations. IES takes time to evaluate each bid carefully to issue a package that is both cost-effective
and meets the technical capabilities of the intended system and strives to accomplish the installation within the time constraints of the
client.
IES' specialty is the
"design-build" projects. IES employs the best possible staff available, as well as partnering with several top-level
engineering and consulting firms to design and generate a system specifically to meet the criteria of the client's system. They have successfully
designed and installed many a/v, RF, security and data systems for both private and public institutions.
